Known video playback issues over the December - January break

Overview


We have now launched the new Bitmovin video platform service on the digital network. Over the Christmas and New Year break you may notice a couple of issues with the player and apps related to this change, these concerns are known and will be investigated from when the NRL Digital team returns from the 13th of January.

The known errors include:

• All apps will be a forced update. This means users will need to download the updated version for the app to work.
• Ads not displaying at the start of video playback and instead appearing shortly after the video starts. Once the ad has completed playback the video displays normally.


We will be communicating timelines on when these issues can be resolved in the new year. Please report major problems via Service Desk.
